So you may be wondering what is Stone Wash? These are authentic pumice stones. Stonewashed are jeans that have been treated to produce a faded, worn appearance. This is usually accomplished either by washing the jeans with pumice in a rotating drum, or also by using chemicals to create the appearance without the use of a rotating drum.

The process was invented in Italy, Pumice stones used in select wash processes as an abrasive to help soften your jeans. The repeated contact of the stones against the jeans help give it that “worn-out” look by replicating the natural wear & tear your jeans would take after you wear your jeans. Actual stones such as these were used. “Stone-washing” is one of the best methods to soften your jeans and give it a natural look.
